Places to Go for a Peaceful Getaway

Sometimes we travel for the sake of escaping the routine of life. Visiting somewhere genuinely peaceful is as great an experience as going on an adventure.

Certain countries have touring options that will give you a peaceful, rejuvenating experience that you couldn’t get anywhere else. I would recommend visiting all of these places at least once in your lifetime, especially if you’re the type of person that likes to get away from reality now and then.

Iceland

Iceland is a tiny little island well-known for its peaceful sites. The people are very friendly, and it has a pleasant climate even if the name suggests otherwise.

Iceland has plenty of fun things to do and see during various times throughout the year. For instance, if you want to view the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), then you should visit between September and February.

Anyone who loves ice caves should visit between November and March. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to see both, go between November and February!

Portugal

Portugal is a popular site for both peace and price. The cost of travel and daily living is excellent, unlike the rest of Europe.

Portugal is best known for its gorgeous ocean views and fantastic food from hand-made cheese to smoked meats. If you really want to spoil yourself, try out Portugal’s famous pastel de nata, a delicious custard tart that you can find throughout the country.

So, kick back and relax on a beach with the best tart the world has to offer!

New Zealand

New Zealand is far away from most people, but its well worth the trip. New Zealand is considered a peaceful country because of the wonderful scenery that you’ll find everywhere.

New Zealand is like one giant nature-reserve. The people who live there are very strict when it comes to protecting the environment. Let’s just say I wouldn’t recommend littering or messing up the environment in any way.

That being said, the people living there, both the British colonists and the native Maori, are extremely nice and laid-back people. If you ever want tips for best sleep methods, a Kiwi is bound to know them.

Should you feel the need to have some adventure during your peaceful visit, you’ll find that New Zealand is home to some of the more insane activities including skydiving, bungee jumping, mountain climbing, and so on.

The climate in New Zealand is very pleasant all year long. However, if you aren’t a fan of the winter season, make sure to visit between November and February.

These are three countries that are packed full of peaceful remedies for your stress. Take a month off and get your chilling game on!
